(GENRE CRITICISMS)

Daffodils is a poem reminding us about the arrival of the spring seasons. The author witnessed how the beauty of nature specifically daffodils which a flower symbolizes beauty inspired by nature.

The author makes used of the different images and figurative languages which helps to bring out the meaning of the poem.  The poem talks about neglect ion of the important things and beautiful things  in our life because  of our hectic and miserable  life .The structure of the poem emphasizes the continuous flow of expression. The author used the first person point of view where he attempt to share  and to  compare his own experiences through an imaginative  and playful used of language,

Wordsworth on the other hand ,makes used of the different images  like water, milky way, galaxy, in which he match up to daffodils.

Moreover, the author amazed with the splendor brought by the flower to him  stated with the line “and then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with daffodils” we can also notice that in line “I wandered lonely as a cloud  and ten thousand saw at I glance is an example of simile, personification and hyperbole which authors has been used in order to divulge the emotions that can be brought by nature to humankind.

However in line “I gaz ed and gazed but little thought what wealth the show to me had bought “the author would like to ask what could be the benefits that he might get with it until he reminisce the solitude and beauty that he had experience when he saw the daffodils .

According to him, despite of the busy day  and hard day’s work that he had.  He realized that nature can escape us  from  solitude.

Lastly, William Wordsworth made used of his skill by incorporating images and figurative languages which helps the reader to escape the feelings from loneliness and depressions.

The poem would like to reveal to us how powerful nature is and what can this make to us.

 All we have to do is not to limit ours elves and give ourselves a chance to relax and appreciate the innate beauty of nature.

(A feminism approach)

The story of the other two by Edith Warthon is a story about a women named Alice who are involved in three men who became part of her life.

In a story it is highly observed and we can also that a men possessed feminine characteristics as well as women  on the other side it was shown there that Waythorn Aman where Alice is married has a characteristics which can categorize into traits of feminism.

for instance ,He was flush, uncomfortably, he was often fascinated  and often think    of  something which should n0t  be  posses of a  normal men.

He was always affected and emotionally distressed whenever he thinks of the probable consequences that might occur with his wife. In the story it was also revealed there that most women are often neglected and downgraded by the society as she was compare by his husband to a shoes  that has too many fear had worn.

Meanwhile, the story also gives us the other side of Mr. Waythorn who thinks of an  evil and destructive statement against his wife instead of Alice that she  must be the one to think of it.

The character of Alice posses a masculine characteristics which are reflected                                         in the story,. She was strong enough and  defined with a perfectly balanced nerves .She has a way of summoning obstacles without seeming to be aware of the  those characteristics cannot be normally seen in a woman, al0ice on counterpart can handle situation well always ready to face off challenges and 4risk.

On the other hand, the  story emphasizes the role of women in the society that women are often views as  a waste of society but despite of it a woman on the other side posses also characteristics that a man should have .

The story shows how dominant are the girls when handling problems, and situations..meanwhile the story also gives us the stereotypes possess by men and women that a men always think of  something against his wife .Alice also is a character tha5t would like to show that women  during that time are kept on flirting with others because they possess a weak emotion. They can easily be captured by men by just a few flowery word.

In addition Alice also  shows that she’s a sex parasites because of the two men who became part of her life before .we also known that women are weak and men are stronger than them but that story shows the ironic part of it. The story also gives us the emphasis about women and that they are dominant versus men

POISON TREE

A poison tree by William Blake is composed of some binary opposition and uses metaphorical devices which contribute to the meaning of the poem.

In the title the poison tree we can notice that the title contains contradictory statement because poison suggest something dangerous harmful and the tree which symbolizes life. The title also gives us an incompleteness that suggest that it is growing and unconscious.

In the first line, you can observe that angry tree is just starting up to grow. Literally, it explained to us that the personas guilt grows against his foe. We can also compare it with a seed which started to sprout .however,  in the second line, it emphasizes that a persona becomes the gardener of his own guilt anger, he cultivate it by giving it with care true the use of the different elements like water,sun,air.as the days past by . His anger grows and become intense and uncontrolled. As a result, it bears fruit which is apple which the author used in order to represent an fool and defeat his foe. In the fourth line, we can also notice that the effect of an anger he felt becomes his edge to defeat his foe

Meanwhile, the poem contains structure a quatrain which has a rhyme scheme aa, bb, cc, dd.the last word also in the first, .line is related to the last word of the third line consequently the first sentence on the second line has something to say with the second sentence on the succeeding line. “I told it my wrath, I told it not, it” connotes contradiction which he cannot control his emotions against his foe.

However we can also noticed that in the second line, there are metaphor equivalent presented by the tree which is anger and watered which refers to plant. Sun was also used by the author to gives important that sun connotes heat and it can burned us . Apple was also added by the author in order to represent the temptation against his foe in the poem however nobody knows that the tree is poisonous and the fruit itself except the gardener himself.

The foe was tempted with the apple and tried to steal it secretly and yet he failed .He was defeated by the fraud intention of the gardener.

Lastly, the poem is about the growing anger felt by the persona against his foe. He tried to cultivate it until it bear fruits which was utilized by the persona to defeat the foe by showing the other side fit.

The persona on the other hand is lack of self control and it show how a tree or the anger he felt become a poison to his foe.

Cask OF AMONTILLADO

(Traditional approach )

The story of the Cask of Amontillado truly reflects the lives of the two officers who has a mutual combat between each other. The story was written by the prominent writer Edgar Allan Poe who tried to reflect his lives during his times when he was a p-private army.

His profession paved him a way to write the tale which based from his observations.

In the story foe uses the opposite character from the real story in order to reveal what is actually happened. Montressor a character used by  the author  against fourtunato who was known and respected that time .Because of the brilliant mind of  Montressor he was able to defeat fortunato,  and we might say that he was unfortunate. Because of the authors love of wine he tries to reveal it by giving emphasis in amontillado, a great tasting wine.

this wine become the way to killed fortunate and buried in a catacomb where a lot of wines are  being restored .

On the other hand, in the story, it has also shown there the traditional way of burying the remains when he was discovered the skeleton in the floor with a fragment of an 1812 army uniform which are clinging in bones this was evidence according to persona that what happened is actually real.

However, the officer told the author not to foretell the story behind that’s why he makes use of a very meaningful characters like for instance fortunato, a well known person and Montressor  to come up with this kind of story.

In the latterpart ,fortunate soon discover that montressor  is not anymore his friends because of his unusual voice the conflict started when an insult was given to montressor when fortunate ask for lutessi .

The story of the cask of amontillado touches the heart of the persona because of his love for wine he was able to use it that signifies death.

the author  died because of  his a love for an  alcoholic person .

Moonlight

The name Abbe  Marignan suits his character in the story “moonlight”written by Guy De Mauppassant it was shown a nature of priest who believe in is way of life he has its own god and he believe in his principles but it was all  changed when he found out the answer to all of his questions why love exist in every human.

Abbe plays a role of priests who sincerely believe and never have cried out in an outburst of pious humility. Unlike othermen, he never experience what a normal men should do at his age because he was blinded and chosen to be a priest.

Moreover,he also hated women. he beloved that women is a tempter, he was invulnerable he was angry out of his needof love ,he always tried to control hisemotiond which always vibrate him.

In order to esacpe and to release him out of danger he usually visioted tthevaisle nearbycountry church, we often do this when do new wenta to escape from humility and pain,.the character shows unexpected emotions whaemn he was told by   that his niece has a lover.he felt guilt,full of anuger and imagination whicjis unusual from a normal priest. Abbe sees intention everywherehowever the narrator shows a nature,

Prior to esacpoe from the exasperation theb character make his own way unexpectedly one time he was destrudted a nd surprised by the splendid moonlight  nature become his inspiration. Because of the enachantmentthat ithas the feeling of doubt and consioussness covered him. Some times we ask also questions         which can be answered by someone , we often felt also diss appointed and we felt exasperated if all of this remain unanswered . the absolute logic of why  amnd because was always balanced.

Because of the serene beauty of pale of night that he was observed the charater changed his life after he realized that what heis doing is against god will

In the end a feeling of paternal; impulses wuith slumcber in every mans heart was disregarde . abbe realizes in the end thatr he must noit be in the temple for he was thinking of those avil things  that can disobeyed god.
